My story
My gastronomic journey began at a young age in the heart of Paris. Trained at Ferrandi and equipped with an MBA in Digital Transformation, I launched into the food industry, not just to participate, but to revolutionize.
I founded an event catering agency that became a beacon in Paris, shining a spotlight on the underexplored richness of Afro-Caribbean cuisines. It wasn’t just about food; it was about setting a stage for a culinary narrative long overshadowed.
This early venture not only set a precedent but also ignited my mission to bring these cuisines to the forefront of the French, European, and global gastronomic scenes.
Navigating through startups in the foodtech realm, I’ve woven digital threads into the fabric of traditional gastronomy, blending the old with the new. My mission became clearer when I saw the void in the representation of 'black cuisines.' This underrepresentation in the global gastronomic scene wasn’t just a market gap; it was a missing piece in our cultural tapestry. This realization fueled my ambition to bridge this divide.
I have since focused on reinventing the narrative through entrepreneurship, creating opportunities, and providing platforms for industry players. My work has taken me on a global odyssey, from London to Toronto, and from the colors of Marrakech to the rhythms of Abidjan, even making a mark in Dubai during Expo 2020.
This journey has also been a personal exploration of my roots, meeting inspiring people along the way and making me question my own perspective, values, and aspirations.
Today, I stand not just as a professional but as a storyteller, dedicated to fostering a 'pan-African gastronomic soft power', focusing on innovation, transmission, and representation in the food, cultural, and creative industries.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
