Brunch N Kids at La Place, Paris
Bites and Beats: Children's brunch with urban arts twist!
La Place is a cultural centre located in the heart of the Halles district, a former stronghold of the Parisian hip hop movement. Its mission is to promote all the disciplines of Hip Hop through distribution, transmission, support for creation and accompaniment.
As part of its activities, La Place wanted to broaden its audience by offering children (and their parents) a special opportunity to exchange ideas by combining artistic workshops with a healthy brunch. They therefore asked us to produce 4 editions of 50 covers each, "parents & kids friendly".
We created a buffet of Afro-Caribbean flavours, with a menu that changed for each edition. Using fresh produce and 100% homemade recipes, the challenge was the same as any parent at home: to replace the nuggets and chips combo with fruit and vegetables that are sometimes little known. So we focused our efforts on simple, colourful products to catch the attention and appeal of young people. A real success!
